These terms apply to GetRoofReport's website, roof planning tools, property reports, and RoofReport plugin for ChatGPT and Claude, operated by ViewEngine. By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
What the service provides
GetRoofReport helps you plan a roofing project by opening an interactive roof cost estimator, browsing shingle colors and a photo visualizer, and reviewing available property records. Address-based roof, permit, storm-risk, and insurance-context records currently cover Florida. Calculator and visualizer launches do not require an address-record match.
Information and estimates
Property information is drawn from public records and may be incomplete, outdated, estimated, or incorrect. Roof age and condition scores are records-based information. Historical storm exposure does not establish current damage.
Reports do not constitute an on-site inspection, engineering opinion, inspection certificate, insurance quote, underwriting decision, or approval of coverage. Confirm important facts with the relevant public authority, licensed contractor, inspector, or insurer before making a decision.
Roof cost estimates are planning information, not a binding contractor offer or final project price. Actual costs depend on measurements, material, labor, location, permits, and site conditions. Color previews are illustrative; lighting, screens, photography, and AI rendering can differ from installed materials. Confirm products and colors with the manufacturer and contractor.
Embedded and third-party services
The estimator and photo visualizer are provided by RoofKit. Information you enter in those tools, including photos, contact details, or quote requests, is handled by RoofKit and may be passed to roofing contractors. Review the provider's applicable terms and privacy information before submitting information or requesting a quote. See RoofKit and our privacy policy.
ChatGPT, Claude, contractors, and other linked providers operate their own services under their own terms. GetRoofReport's public MCP tools do not place roofing orders, collect payments, issue certificates, or approve insurance coverage. Any purchase or contractor agreement is a separate arrangement with that provider.
Your use of the service
Use the service lawfully and supply information you are entitled to share. Upload photos only if you have permission to use them. Do not submit another person's sensitive information without authorization.
Do not bypass access controls or rate limits, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use the public plugin to extract the underlying database in bulk. Business API access, where provided, is subject to its own access limits and any separate agreement.
Privacy
Our privacy policy describes how information is collected, used, shared, and retained, including by embedded tools and analytics providers. Contact hello@getroofreport.com with privacy questions.
Availability and changes
Tools, coverage, and features may change. Access may be limited for maintenance, capacity, security, or misuse. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every address, material, color, or host is supported.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. Review the current terms when using the service.
