It absorbs more heat than a light gray. Attic ventilation and the deck assembly matter more to attic temperature than shingle color does, and neither of these SKUs carries a solar reflective rating.
Cream, warm white, sage and tan siding all work. Red brick is the harder pairing, since both carry red and the roof stops reading as a separate plane.
